“how are you?”

it would appear, and i cannot figure whether it is coincidental or not, but more often than not, i am asked this question and my response is always as follows:

“im blessed.”

this very fact has never been made apparent to me and thus has been one of those things i near-involuntarily regurgitate when asked how i am doing or feeling. well not made apparent until this evening obviously.

a fan. a friend. a listener. a consituent in the flesh brought to my attention the fact that my responses are always the same. brief, general declarations that my life and present state of being is a blessing.

i cant rightfully pinpoint what my point is with any of this, but i seem to uphold the philosophy that if ever any one individual is in a position to ask us “how are you?” or “how have you been?” that very query in and of itself is a blessing and a reminder that our present experience is a gift itself.

no matter our circumstances or what we are presently experiencing. no matter what we are going through. we are in a position to answer the question and that itself renders us blessed and highly favored.

but what do i know?

“im blessed.”

it is the recognition of this blessing that reminds me of the eventual reward that is an impending utupious state of peace and constant affirmation that we are all a blessed people.

“Love Before Breakfast” - so powerful [awesome].

went out for a night on the town last night. typical Fly School Musical debauchery ensued. jumped a cab to the venue with the homies and linked up with a few friends. spent the latter part of the evening throwing up in front of Tommy Davidson Jr. never a dull moment.

at the moment im watching HGTV. mostly because thats what awesome people do. they watch design shows and live vicariously through the people on screen. thats what i do anyway. Food Network is another guilty pleasure of a favorite. past few days have been pretty bush and its relaxing to sit here toying with the iPhone blogging and watching ‘the annoying lady’ talk about curb appeal.

within the past 9-10 days particular things in the personal life have made a change for the better. i dont believe in counting the chickens before they hatch, but i do believe positive thoughts cannot be denied and on that note, i firmly believe that things are getting better. in a plethora of varying capacities.

i got caught looking at naked pictures of Stacy Dash last night on my phone.

i am so ashamed.
